ok soo ive never shot a shotgun before but i know its very powerful.....and some people go rabbit hunting with them....soo my question does using a shot gun limit the amount of food u can get from your game...especially rabbits or squirrels?
depends on how close you are, you mainly have to just get all the bbs out when you clean it or eat it. as long as you dont use a slug or anything obviously and arent at point blank range it doesnt usualy mess too much up.
I would agree with King and Gitter. I also think that it all depends on the gauge shotgun, size of shot (shell) and choke patterning. If you want to know how badly damaged your kill would be you'll probably have more "damage" from a 12 gauge, 3.5" shell. That's what I use for Turkey but the choke pattern is pretty tight. That setup is more for better range.
