kill when it's officially scored.

buck!
The buck with all the IVs and what not...I THINK (Im not 100% sure but i think the story goes something like this)The King Ranch buck (FREE-RANGING)was crossing a barbed-wire fence and got hung up in it, his neck was broken and one of the back legs, the hunter didn't have the heart to shoot the deer and called Texas A&M and they took it from there, A&M flew the buck in a helicopter to A&M and then once the buck recovered they then released him back to the King Ranch ...this was a couple years back though...I have seen majority of the photos before but still love looking at them...
I hunt on family farm land in central Iowa but I ain't seen anything like those deer. Wow Seen some really good ones but those are in a class of their own.
Well, that's the story I heard from the King Ranch buck too. I didn't ever hear the conclusion, but if that buck recovered from a broken neck I am impressed with those vets. I just figured they were keeping him alive long enough to collect some "little big buck juice" if you know what I mean.
never seen anything like that in nc. saw a decent (what i thought was decent til looking at this) 8 point the other day, but never got a shot. now think that i'm shooting a dwarfs in my state.
