Good Luck whitetailfever and don't forget to take some pics to share...
AND Make sure you don't end up like that guy last year out on rouses point that got to sail on the iceberg for awhile... (remember him?)
here's the story with photo's.... :shocking: :shocking:
OH I REMEMBER THAT !!THAT MUST OF BEEN REALLY SCARY!!I HAD A SIMILAR EXPIERIENCE OUT ON CUMBERLAND BAY(PLATTSBURGH BEACH)I WAS OUT THERE IN THE MIDDLE SOMEWHERE ON A VERY WARM DAY AND AS I LOOKED BACK AT SHORE THE ICE HAD SEPARATED FROM SHORE HEADING OUT TO CRABB ISLAND BUT THE SOUTH WIND CAME UP AND BROUGHT US BACK BUT THE ICE PILED UP ABOUT A 100YRDS FROM SHORE.WE HAD TO WADE THROUGH SOME WATER TO GET BACK TO LAND BECAUSE THE WATER WAS ON THE ICE.VERY SCARY FOR ME BECAUSE IN THAT SAME BAY MANY YEARS AGO I HAD FALLEN IT MAYBE THATS TELLING ME SOMETHING??BUT SENCE THEN I ALLWAYS GO WITH SOMEONE.
I used to go on the ice all the time but that was years ago when it was nothing to drive across mallets bay in the truck with the Plow on to go for Pike along the sandbar. :shocking: NOT NOW  somewhere along lifes path that "Brave on the Ice Deal" went sour, I can't explain what it is but, I cannot even walk 30 feet from shoreline any longer.
