i've been out looking for huntable turkeys. i've been seeing a few birds in the same ole places. but i found 4 toms in 4 new sort of hidden secert places. hope they hang around for the season to open may 3rd. :ph34r:and if you're hunting in nh everything i just said was a lie except the part about the may 3rd opener.:ph34r::biggrin:

found another one this time a roosting site. man i can't wait for may 3rd

ronn, 90% of the roosted birds are on ridges overlooking valleys here. Do you think the birds prefer that type of area or is it just somewhere they happened to be at in the evening????

its a preferance. they want to be heard so roosts seem to be over looking something. a lot of times its water of some sort.

just got another lead on gobbling birds. no fields near by so it s unlikely anyone else know of these birds. something to check out. i'm going to try and get some videoing in this weekend.
