signage! posted no trespassing violators will be prosecuted! check with your neighbors and ask them to be sure to tell their guest about the property lines. make sure the deer have everything they need on your property and let the other hunters stomp them on to your place. get to know your local CO. look into the QDMA CoOp's. and welcome.

yeah what ronn said.if you know your neighbors ask them who they are inviting and tell them about your run ins with their "guests" they may change the invites list.also be careful of confrontation when all parties are armed thats how accidents happen.Its better to get tag #s and plate #'s and call the DEC or the sheriff etc.Good luck and welcome to the campfire

Welcome To The Forum.if There Is 5 Guys Hunting 16 Acres They Won't Be Hunting There Long They Will Drive All The Deer Out Of That Parcle And Will Get Discuraged And Leave. Hopefully It Will Be A Good Thing For You.try To Get In The Woods Before Them.but Ronn And Joel Had Some Very Good Ideas.but Posting Your Property Is A Must.you Have Enough Acerage For Food Plots Have You Thought About That?also Try Moving Your Stand?if They Have Permission To Hunt That Property They Can Hunt Anywhere They Want On That Property Just Keep That In Mind To.sometimes Just Staying Away From People Like That Is Better That Trying To Fight Them Off.if That Was My Property I Would Be Scouting For A New Place To Put A Stand.and I Would Heavily Post It(send A Signal)so To Speak That You Want Nobody On Your Property.if You Want Answers To Any Questions This Is The Place To Get Them.

Yea talk to the owner of the property they are hunting. And mention it to the game wardens of the area.

Well if you all actually do have permission to hunt the place I guess you need to work out a schedule for your hunts or plot out certain areas that each of you can hunt. That is a small area for a bunch of hunters, and you need to make sure that each of you stays safe and doesn't interrupt the others' hunt.

Another idea is that if you had permission to hunt the place before the others got it you may approach the land owner and tell him that the other hunters are screwing things up...tell him that it is not a big enough place for that many hunters and request that he let you hunt the place by yourself.

hello and welcome. Too many hunters on a small track of land is a common problem in many areas. Protecting your 70 may be all you can do short term. I agree that time will work to your favor when the crouded 16 acres slowly pushes them away. Talking to your neighbors and discussing the problem/safety issue may help. Posting your property is a must start. Good luck!

that all sounds like good advice. i would put up the posted signs on the property lines. then a few feet in on your side i would put up signs that say something to the effect of "yes that means you". then a few more feet in another sign that says "357 beats 911 every time" (or instead of 357 you can put in whatever your caliper of choice is). but that is just me. i have a twisted sense of humor. welcome to the site.

Looks like the soap sheriff just walked into town leaving a trail of pine scented Irish Spring soap. That should clean things up pretty well and leave the area smelling like you juist got out of the shower.:surprised:

THANKS FOR THE TIPS, I THINK I WILL GO WITH CHANEL #5 AROUND THERE AREA. MAYBE THIS WILL DO THE TRICK. THEN RELOCATE MY STANDS.

I had a silmilar experince a couple of years ago. What I had done was have the land covered in no trespassing signs. Explained to my neighbors what my situation was. Eventually I had caught the teenagers out there hunting. I just simply parked my truck behind theirs and called the sheriffs dept.. When the deputy arrived he waited by their truck until they returned. The next time I had seen them was sitting across the court room. Since then I havent had anymore unwelcome visitors.

James you could be shooting yourself in the foot if you put out smelly stuff. it may keep the deer from coming on to your property.

Why not try making friends with them.

If you do become friends, they may have other places to invite you to hunt. The hunting pressure that they create on the 16 acre parcel could be good for you on your 70 acre parcel, if conditions are right.
