or i guess a european mount
Bass pro sells a kit so the dyi'er can fast boil one out like a taxidermist I think it runs around fifty bucks but don't quote me on that, and you could always bury it in the yard and let the bugs do the work.
how long would the burying it in the yard take?
I think during the summer it takes about three to size weeks. It also depends on if the weather is hot, dry, cold or wet. It might take longer or shorter.
What I did that worked really well was boiling my deer head for about two hours. Like I said it works well but stinks up the place like heck. The smell of boiled brains is nasty:(
Hope you find a good way!!!

Find a hot-plate (good luck) and boil it outside. That's what I did with mine. Plus, Make sure if you use bleach or any other liquid to whiten the skull, do NOT get it on the antlers (also, good luck with that!)
European mount

In my area we actually have a guy who runs a bug service. He has large tanks with a certain breed of bug and puts your deer skull in there. They come out almost polished. He gets all kinds of animals in there including African game.
put it in a 5gal. bucket of water, but keep antlers out of water.it only takes a few weeks.look up mascerate.if you boil it you can damage it by over boiling it and it will fall apart
