That same exact thing happened to me once, and will never happen again. I got out to the stand, a climber mind you. climbed all the way up to 20', got settled in and went to hook up and couldnt find my release. then I remembered putting it in my bow case. I had to climb down walk back about 600 yds to the truck and do everything all over again. now I carry a backup in my pack where it stays.I cannot shoot accurarely with my fingers. I once walked along ways to my deer stand buried deep into the woods in some thicket, and once I got to my stand and sit down, I realized I forgot my release. lol. It wasnt too funny at the time. I just got down and walked all the way back to get release. I prolly ran every deer out of the woods. That's how important I think my release is.
