had a nice doe under my stand for about 10 minits durring the 1/2 hour after sun down time they give you. durring that time she offored me about a dozen good clean shot opritunitys. but rightnow for rifle/shotgun it is antlered deer only. if i had my bow i could hae taken her easaly. so i had to let her go. not happy about that but the law is the law like it or not. makes no sence to me, i could have taken her leagaly with a bow, so why not a shotgun? oh well were there are doe, there are bucks. guess i just gota get out of bed early tomorrow moring.

I know it stinks.I've seen more does this year than in many in the past, all in muzzleloader season.
i know the souther guys on this site are saying to them selfs. so you saw a doe, i see 10 a day, and a few small bucks but no shooters. and thats the point. hear in NH any time you see a deer in the woods its a big deal. and to me all legal deer are shooter. it just stinks that i could not shoot this one. oh well hopfully i see a buck this year.
too bad it wasnt a buck nh but i know it beat working and i bet the time flew by being out there again
In Pa last week even if I had a doe tag it would not have been filled. I went 1 week before seeing a single deer. This in in an area that 10 years ago we'd see 10 a day. I knew things were going to be thin boy was I right.

oh ya it did. my heart was pounding out of my cheast. i kept looking hopeing to see atleast one 3 inch spike, (then i could have shot it) then after reailizing 100% it was a doe, i tryed to see if i could take its picture, but my cell phone cam would not work in the darkness. it was a blast.
