there's a difference between a doe bleeding from a wound vs. spotting blood during her estrous cycle, the estrous cycle creates estrogens and progesterone which are the scents a rutting buck is drawn to.AHH... gotcha, that makes sense. I've actually seen where the blood of a doe can attract a buck. I'm guessing they can smell some sort of estrous scent in the blood or on the ground where the doe was laying.
