I was coming back from a lacrosse game yesterday in Canada when I passed this restaraunt in which the sign said "fresh lake Erie perch daily". But I thought that all great lakes fish had dangerously high levels of PCB's making them unsafe for human consumption. About 20 years ago we used to eat lots of fish from Lake Erie but not anymore. Any insight?

RE: I agree they need to take steps in this direction, I'm just not sure how much iamcpt it will have. After all, it's only the Fannie/Freddie loans, not the whole market. And I think I remember reading that there's a push to close down these two and start over with something else, although I'm not sure what that gains anybody except the political cover of having two effectively insolvent embarrassments go away. ya got to check the DEC website,and those "great lake" perch were probably imported from europe,its a common trick the resturants use:yes:
