Got to vent so bare with me. what in the Christ are these folks in dc thinking?! 10 years of revenues for 6 years of benefits. penalties aka taxes on ME for 4 years before any chance to use the so called benefits. increased revenues to pay for this by increasing the capital gains tax. when was the last time increasing the capital gains tax increased revenues? special deals for vt, hi, mt, conn, la, ne, the unions that don't have to pay taxes on their benefits. 52% of the people don't want this health care bill but ram it down our throats anyway. since when did we elect people to parent us and stop electing people to represent us? all I can say is this sucks and i'll scrape and spend every penny i can or go door to door whatever it takes, to make sure these morons never hold public office again.

The Government has raped the Constitution just like any street prostitute! I'm telling you the time has come when the People of the United States better wake their stupid butts up and clean Washington out. My feeling right now is this is not My government anymore as it has chosen not to listen to the clear majority of its people and instead forced a Socialistic agenda on us whether we want it or not. Those misguided individuals who voted for change, well you got what you deserve, the rest of us will somehow have to fight to take back what you gave away. America as we grew up to know and love, it's just a distant memory right now. The corruption in Washington mirrors Moscow, Germany. Total control of the people, by the government, thats the agenda! How's that feel to you! Ronn, I too couldn't be more teed off:ranting:

Hey, Ron, HM and anyone else who cares to read this.
Two guys visit NYC for the first time. When they arrive, each of them strikes out in a different direction for the day. That evening, they meet up and start comparing notes about the "Big Apple". The first guy starts lamenting, "Man, what a terrible place this it! All I saw were drug dealers, prostitutes, bars and crack houses on every corner. This place is just a modern Sodom! What do you think of it?"
His friend stared back at him with a somewhat puzzled look.
"I saw great libraries and museums, and there was the most beautiful cathedral. And there were operas and theaters with talented musicians and entertainers. I saw wonderfully equipped hospitals and universities. This is a great place!"
Point is, we tend to see what we want to see in all things. Some of us see things that make us panic, but it's just as possible to see a different picture.
We are living in a country of great wealth and a great history of helping people (usually people in OTHER countries) that's been sitting back and doing nothing while 31,000,000 fellow countrymen and women go without health care. What I see is an opportunity to help those souls have a better life. These people are right here - not in Haiti or some other third world country. Sure, we might have to dig into our pockets and help them, but what kind of people are we anyway! As politicized as this has gotten, it's pretty easy to get riled by Nancy Pelozzi's coat hanger smile face and John Boner's, I mean Beaner's, I mean Boehner's obstructionist rhetoric, but after all is said and done, Amercans helping Americans looks good to me. That what I see. Anyone care to visit NYC with me sometime?

onehorse, I too see great things in America. The problem is the agenda for the furure, by Washington today, is wrong for America tomorrow. That's how I see it. The federal Government has taken control where the Constitution clearly and with great wisdom separated powers and state's rights to protect against the very thing we are seeing today. If socialism is your choise then I will be on the other side politically. The founding fathers saw what America was and needed to be, its what made America so great! Washington today is a sad failure to the people, by the people and for the people. Washington has sold our soul to China that's really nice! We truly need a change, history I hope, will be on my side of the court at the end of the political ball game.

nice story onehorse. but you forgot about the third guy that was with them. he came back to the group and said i don't want to live here. not only is there the crime, drugs and the like, you saw. and the everything you could ask for that you saw but there is this group that not only pays to battle the crime and such but they are made to pay for those beautiful buildings with all the services and cover those that won't hold up their end of things, without being asked if they want to, all while trying to make ends meet in their own house. i'm going back to my little farm in the hills and let the rest of it implode on itself, either that or stand up and rail against the burdens imposed upon them by the minority.

Onehorse I don't see 31 million, I see half of that being people that won't or did not get up off their backsides to get health care OR should not be here in the first place. I also see Washington saying the heck with what it costs to other 250 million+ other citizens that work and pay there taxes AND are legally here or residents. Personally I welcome revolution and booting those 215+ votes clean out of Washington and the country.:ranting: By the way WE HAVE A CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT WE WANT TO GO TO NYC!

play nice fellas, keep in mind a lot of us want to jump in and be heard as well but now isnt the time to get all heated over it, we ALL saw it coming long before now so waiting until now to vent ronn was poor timing and at this point it's only going to cause an unnecessary and heated debate.

Everyone should Step back take deep breaths and just PRAY that the American Voices are represented when it's time to vote and when I say American voices I mean the Majority because the majority don't want this passed.

bb i'm playing nice. I haven't done any personal attacks here cause everyone has a right, given to us by our creator not the government, to voice their opinion, concerns, and frustrations. voicing them now cause if not now when? i've done the contact my reps thing. and suggest that everyone do so, pro or con. couldn't agree more with your last line, which is what is leading to me needing to vent. if i were in the minority i wouldn't like it but hey i'm in the minority so i have to go along and take it but for this bill i'm not in the minority i'm in the majority.

A big thanks, Bruce, for injecting the idea of taking a deep breath here. These ARE troubled times to be sure, and everyone is feeling frustrated for one reason or another. Hell, no one in our plant has had a raise in almost four years! But even though this is supposed to be a hunting website, occasionally we all feel like "venting" just like Ronn. Anyway, it's pretty clear that we ALL want what's best for our country - just some different points of view. So, now I'll take a step back as you suggest, and hope the rest follow suit. Thanks again, Bruce.

I'm doing my best to simmer down, but America is at a turning point in her history. If we go down the dark path of socialism then all that comes with it will be deserved by those who so blindly chose it. At no time since the 60's racial division strife has there been a dividing line drawn this clearly. America is at an imploding point destroying what made her great. I truly hope the people realize the there are two paths to take, one is the destruction of the republic as we understand it, the other is for the freedom of the people and state's rights. I see this as a no grey issue you are either for socialism or not. I'm done now and thinking very clearly BB, blood pressure is returning to normal. Maybe I'll go clean my guns as most likey they will soon be at my door trying to take them away, that's socialism at its finest, whether I give them away is personal choise and freedom from government control!

HM, I agree with you. I think this country has been clearly divided for some time now. I also don't think the American people will choose the path of freedom either. Our elected officals will continue to force more controls upon us leading to the U.S. version of socialism and we will not do anything about because we can still eat. The vast majority of the people who put this current administration in power are already dependant upon the goverment and will not come out of it. And that was not meant as a racial comment. More and more people are looking to the goverment for answers to their lives and refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions. People refuse to build their lives through hard work and a little common sense. some couldn't buy a house due to their poor money managment and cry to the goverment, so the goverment forces banks to loan the money which drives home prices way higher than they're worth. Then the bottom drops out of the market and again people cry for the goverment to bail them out of that too..... They put all of their savings in the stock market, 401k's, etc and the bottom falls out so they cry to the goverment for stricter controls of the stock market..... Some want the highest paying union job in town, but but they cheapest of everything at Walmart, which means China, then complain when we've lost jobs overseas... the list goes on and on. You can't blame them tho, it's not their fault, they're just trying to survive. Yea whatever. The storm isn't coming, it's already here. Oh, and I'm calm as I write this.

hunting man has hit on the true issue here. regardless of how you feel about health care and health care reform, the boundries of the constitution have been over stepped. this isn't the first time, but it is time we say enough is enough because where does it stop. gun right?? its coming if we don't put government in check. if individual states want socialized medicine fine but not at the federal level.

See how clean it really is... and we can tie health care, gun rights, socialism, and unwarrented taxation together as an unconstititional package. Maybe there is hope maybe just maybe the people finally will understand. Ok Ok now I really am done, at least for now!

I refuse to calm down! That is what these flaming liberals want. They poke and poke until you hit your limit then poke and poke at you again and again. Each time gaining a little ground. It's time to squash this insect. Calming down is what got us here in the first place. This is not your wake up call, this is you after the 10th hit on the snooze button. But that's ok keep calm, turn the other cheak, keep saying it won't pass congress, keep saying it's so ridiculous it will never happen, HELLLOOOO! IT JUST DID!! AANNDDD! It will continue until you get up out of your cozy bed to see that your walls of your home land are being torn down to the point of being almost gone. WAKE UP!!:wallbash::crazy:

In my case, calming down means there is a job to do. Time to focus on a plan with clear thinking time to organize. WMI, I agree with what you feel right now and I hope most of America feels the same way. The Country has been betrayed by the Anti-Constitutional Socialist Democrats and maybe come this fall the tide will turn. Right now I'm more sick to my stomach than anything else. This is just the first major stage of their plan for a progressive socialist form of government. Only the people ourselves can stop it. I will say, remember Bush 1 when he uttered the words "New World Order" its not just demoncrats that need replaced.

Ronn, Hunting Man, WMI. I cannot argee more with you all. I fear for My country and even more so for the future of my 2 year old daughter and unborn sibling. We need to stand together with others who feel strongly for our Country and Liberties. Thank you for clearly expressing your thoughts and taking a stand. I will stand with you all!

i've started. i wrote my rep and politely told him i will spend every nickle i can scrape together and work my rear off to see that he is never elected to another office not even dog catcher. as well as all the stuff he did wrong, like not listening the the voters.

its on as they say. speaking ones mind/voting gets you nowhere then action is called for, work to make sure the voters are not ignored again.
