FYI, another thing we can do is when the Dumbocrats offer free campaign materials like lawn banners, bumper stickers, posters, etc etc etc
we should all make sure we get our share of the campaign materials too so we can trash them. I've used that tactic for several campaigns.

A president can influence prices by opening up American reserves and instantly cause foreign markets to get scared and soon the price starts edging down. It's happened in the past and would work again. It's where I'd start. Obama killed the Keystone pipeline he is not good for America and needs replaced at the next election for the future of all of us.
The same people(government)who are supposed to help us are the one screwing us.God only knows how many billions these Corporations put in the lobbyists hands.They screw us until we cant take anymore then drop it 50cents and we will think its good but we will be paying more than before.Its all about the $ and our government is bought and sold too!

As much as some would like to think it is, Keystone is not the solution and it would have no effect on foreign oil prices. As for Presidents, they don't influence the price of gas.

We'll just agree to disagree on this one. Dylan you and I are miles apart here. I work with /next door to a BP oil refinery and understand the keystone loss and it's ramifacations. Obama made a terrible decision regarding the keystone pipeline and hurt the union's he tries so hard to keep in his pocket. Getting oil from our best ally and border friend would have made stragic sense if nothing else. The US has plenty of oil reserves to tap into to temporarly lower the price of gas, it's a fact! History backs up my statement! Obama is a total failure and needs to go. Gas prices aren't his fault but he has some options to help lower them and refuses. By not tapping into US oil he stays committed to his Muslim oil friends supply and prices at a tragic loss of US families. Obama has been an insult to America and will be regarded as the very worse president we have ever had. When he can make Bush look bad it's bad!

The REAL FACT on GAS PRICES is that when Obama was inaugurated in 2008, the AVERAGE price for a gallon of gas was 1.85 a gallon.

Maybe the president cannot speak and drop the price of gas but there are many steps that he can take that will result in lower oil and gas prices all without dealing with the middle east.
-Build the pipeline!! This will show that we have some inititiative to become nondependent on non northamerican oil sources. It helps out our neighbor- Canada. Canada does not have ambitions to destroy and they are our ally! It makes no sense to say no. After all Canada will sell that oil to someone. China wants it and truth be told, China does not hold us too dearly in there thoughts or in future world plans.
-Allow domestic oil development!! Drill for more gas, open up new areas to leases. Refine our oil. All of this can be done without trashing the enviroment. Sure there are risks but there are risk with everything. Taking the stand that any change or chance of pollution is a no go is dead wrong for our country and economy. After all I say go green and go organic. Fossil fuel is 1. All Natural, 2. Organic, and 3. Its already there!
- Change Policy!! Instead of taking everystand to demonize oil companies, their profits and such, allow them to do their job. Do not criminalize those on which the country and economy is dependent. Do not make decisions on what will drive up the price of fuel or the price of those transportation tools that run on fuel.
Energy is the life blood of the country. We need it. It comes in many forms. I say lets be wise stewards of the energy sources we have. Use what we have now while working on future sources, not the other way around.
