Sure did. all's I asked from my kids today was to behave a little and they did. Now then can raise heck until next fathers day. Called my old man and my father-in-law to take them to dinner and all that and they both said just calling to say happy fathers day was good enough. They are both great people and are lucky to be here still.
Dad: Sgt. Marines-artillery/Vietnam
Dad-in-law: Sgt. Army- 101st Airborne "screaming eagles"/Vietnam

alot of memories and stories are told when they get together which is why I appreciate the heck out of them.

Thanks ronn. It was a cool day. My wife let the two girls pick out my present. A john deere hat and a pack of combs. I guess they are trying to tell me to comb my hair or cover it up.

Hope all the other dads had a good day also. Nice vets you have in your family TG.

Thanks Ronn, I had a great fathers day...
I hope all you Dad's enjoyed a great fathers day as well.
We went camping in Island Pond, Vt.,
We stayed 3 nights at a place called Lakeside Camping,
It's in a beautifully, quiet, remote area of Vermont, our campsite was right on the beach it was a really great time...

I hate to share this part of the story but here goes..

The area we camped in is loaded with HUGE moose and can often be seen along some roadsides during the day...
On Sunday we were taking my grandson to get an ice-cream and along the way I spotted a Moose that would easily weigh in at around 1400 to 1600 lbs.
I pulled off the road and jumped out of the truck with my new camcorder and started filming this massive but beautiful beast...
we all got to see the moose just inside the woodline but he quickly walked off and out of sight. When I got settled back into the truck to show everyone the filming I had just done, It was then I realized I wasn't filiming when I was supposed to be but I WAS filming when I didnt need to be OH WELL, I guess those things happen but I sure wish I could have come home to post a good video for you guys.. next time I'll have more experience with my camcorder and things will be a little different next time around...

Thanks, Ron. Spent the first few hours with a friend who is a retired Yellowstone ranger who is teaching rmy wife and me how to pack with our horses. He's done it all, knows it all, and is more than willing to give us his time. Then Linda and I went for a horse ride in the mountains. It was a gorgeous day, and we saw two moose and four mule deer. Got a call from my 35 year old son (lives in Groton, Ct.) and my daughter who lives in Montana. So it was great day!
