I shoot all my deer in the neck, this way I get a clean kill. Drops them in tracks never had one to take a step. I used to shoot behind the shoulder but depending on angle I have ruin back-strap and shoulder, and most of the time deer run up to 100 yrs. click on pictures, shot was in middle of neck and next pictures is back side where bullet came out. 30.06 at 90 yards. 150 gr. We can hunt feeders in Texas, so it's easy to get a neck shot.
