sure is challenging the snow here is very fluffy, though it is quiet walking for me it is also quiet for the deer I spooked 5 doe that I had know idea were there.

I enjoy the snow because I go out tracking... I try to find where those deer are going and headed. usually you can tell if the track is fresh or not in the snow too. Therefore, telling you if it was made that morning or the night before.

If you got the time, now is an excellent opportunity to do some scouting for next year too.
Sure you can try to stick one. Fresh blood in the snow is easy tracking.
But I find out more of how the deer travel thru the woods after a fresh snow. That info can be useful next season.

PS. Take a sled and slide a deer out thru the snow!! Soooo nice!

Going to be in a stand on New Years Eve. It is supposed to be above freezing late Thurs. into Fri. This is the first time in 30+ days that we may possibly see the ground. The deer are hungary and should be feeding alot on the exposed areas.
