CWD has been brought into our area by a deer farm.The infected doe was traded by at least 3 farms.One of them took some fences down and now wild deer have access to that soil.The soil is considered infected with prions for 18 years.

Blue tongue kills deer quickly and is seasonal,not a threat to the long term survival of the herd.CWD is slower to develop and spreads from deer to deer by saliva,urine and feces in the soil.It is always fatal and apparently remains active in the soil up to 18 years.I have been opposed to deer farms ever since I learned about it.
