My first guess would be one of the female dogs may be coming into heat, yours or one of the yotes.
I would definately do my best to take as many out as possible.
Coyote numbers are increasing throughout the U.S. and the dangers of attacks are on the rise & increasing.

On my way to "VOTE" yesterday, I spotted a really small doe running accross the road approx. 150 yars in front of me
as I got to about the 50 yard spot, a Yote running at full throttle crossed the same area heading for the doe.
