[Tricky]

I used 00 buckshot the only time I went coyote hunting, and it worked like a charm. I took one at about 45 yards. It only ran about 10 yards, then dropped. Just make sure you don't overshoot the buckshot, keep it close range, and try some in your shotgun. I use a full choke, but some people use modified, it all depends on your gun. If your gun will handle it, Federal make a copper plated buckshot that is just evil, but you have to see if you can pattern it well out of your setup. Good luck, and let us know how it went.
