Brrrr! It was cold at the range today. I wanted to do a little shooting since I hadn't done any since killing my 4x4 whitetail in November. I wanted to be sure everything is "on" in case I get an invitation to hunt on a ranch for elk damage control. Shot my 300 WSM and 270 WSM (with new loads). It was windy and 18 degrees by the time I got there. Much too cold and windy for trying to shoot tight groups, but every shot landed in a kill zone within an inch to three inches of where I aimed. Let's just say that any elk out to 300 yards would be in a heap of trouble... hopefully in a heap, period. Now, if I can just thaw out!!
