Just a quick story. Last year my 65 year-old father shot his first buck. It wasn't big but it was the best buck ever for the both of us. one year earlier my mom and his wife of 47 years passed away. So dad and i needed this time together. We were in a buddy stand watching a doe about 300 yds out when i turned and saw this buck about 45 yds. Dad had a tree in the way and had to kneel down to see him. He was shaking the whole tree and this was a huge cottonwood, but he made a good shot. Later that year he shot a better buck i colorado and was with his grandson shot a really good buck. Oh also, the in the spring of '08 we both got our first turkeys. It was a good year. You young guys spend all the time you can with mom and dad because you never know when you won't have any time left with them.
