This is DHC staff replacing what this former member placed in this post. He edited out his former post to call us a bunch of communist blah blah blah.. All we are are a bunch of profit seeking morons etc, etc. etc..

What this individual does not understand is the fact that we mantain a spam free forum for our members that use this site. We edit out stupid porn, viagra, every new "for sale site" out there and a whole alot of people trying to start hunting websites. They think you can build a site without putting money into it, putting time into it to improve your rankings in google etc. etc.

He also slammed us saying we are just for profit. Yes indeed we do sell advertising and have google adsense on our site. We would be stupid not too.. As of last month we are happy to say we are now out of the RED.. Woo Hoo..

Even when we were money behind on our site we still offered potential advertisers space on our site if they would give us a gift to give away to our members.

So I ask you to do this foxhunter.. Call up all the members of this site who have won different items..

Such as
A Nikon Prostaff scope
A Nikon Buckmaster scope
A Buck knife
3 seperate $100 gifts to youth sportsmen that tagged a deer
4 seperate $25 gifts to random forum members
21 different gifts from Wildlife Research to random forum members---> which they will be sponsoring a giveaway again this year as well..

And Im sure there are others I forgot about.

Also I need you to ask the staff of DHC how much money they have received from DHC. That would be a big fat $0. (Dont believe me just ask my wife who claims I waste to much time on here) We all have real jobs like most everyone else in America.

We spent more money on shipping members prizes than you have spent on your whole site and you think we are going to let you spam our site. Heh! Take risk. Put time and money into it and build it from the ground up. Thats how buxiness works.

Check out any of the top rated deer hunting sites online. None of these allow spam. Your not our first spammer and will not be our last. We have had this conversation before. It has been awhile since I defended what we do on DHC so I thought I wuold fill you in on why we edited your link to your site. I also noticed you spamming all the other deer hunting sites as well. Most of them have also removed your link or will be doing it shortly. I have a good working relaitionship with most of the owners of the other sites you spammed. They remove spam just like we do.

Thank You

People tend to undergun a youth in my opinion. But you can over gun a youth too where he is afraid to pull the trigger. Learn what guns work for the hunting he will do and choose wisely. Don't base a gun purchase on recoil alone. Young boys can handle more than parents think they can and he'll learn to shoot it.

My son is 12 and wants a rifle. Any recommendations? he is a smallish! thanks
We kind of need a little more info here like, what's the Rifle going to be used for? Target practice?, Hunting?, Competition shooting?

Has he taken the Hunter safety courses in your area yet? Does he have a hunting license?
Do you hunt? will you be practicing/hunting/shooting with him? have you taken any of the hunter safety courses yet?

Since you didn't give any specific info regarding what the rifle will be used for, I'm going assume that, since you are on a deer-hunting site, this will be the application. As a general rule, I would pick the smallest caliber that would get the job done humanely, especially since you said he was on the smallish side (which, by the way, is my size as well). I would avoid dampening his enthusiasm (or causing a flinch to develop) by getting a rifle which doesn't beats the crap out of him. Here are my suggestions: nothing larger than a 24 caliber/6mm - a .243 Win. should fill the bill; a bolt action which is easier to operate and somewhat safer than other actions (unless you go for a single shot); also get a rifle with an easy to use/"positive" safety; get a good recoil pad, like a Limbsaver or Kick-eez. Don't start him thinking that he will be more "manly" if he shoots a big gun - just get him to have fun and shoot straight and be safe. The "magnums" can come later, if ever.

X2............. except for being smallish myself

Would help if you could fill in some more information. There are so many options to choose from that would fit him so picking a price range would be my first thing. Then a caliber, and model, brand name. Excellant used rifles can be found although prices are climbing. 243, 260 rem, 30-30 win, and even a rifle/shotgun combo if only one gun is pruchased. Don't forget good optics for him. The scope will make him more accurate and thus a better shot which equals success.

Yes I can

I would say that a 7mm-08 would be great using 140gr. bullets light on recoil accurate and great stopping power alot more than a 243 I never have liked that caliber. A 25.06 is another great gun, I personlly killed my first deer with a .308, when I was 9yrs old and I was a skinny little runt, but I never had any problems with recoil but I would shoot double OO buck in my grandpa's 12 guage cut a flip and get up and do it again with a grin from ear to ear, loving it.

Grins, I missed it. I thought it was a legitimate question. Flew right over my head :zzz:Asleep at the wheel I s'pose
He had a legit question.. Alot of spammers make legit posts they just add a signature link in their posts to try to get some free traffic to their site. They post alot of times to get that link on here multiple times. Sometimes after the post stays awhile they come back and edit it to say more of what they want.. Then there is a less chance of it getting caught. This particular one got mad and edited out all of his original posts (except 1) and changed all the words crying like a baby calling us communist blah blah.. Just another spammer who has no idea how to get their site ranked well in google and other search engines.
