Bushnell DOA scopes

I was wondering if the Bushnell DOA 250 can be used with a centerfire rifle, mainly a 30-06. A guy at local sporting goods store was trying to sell me one and he said that it can be accurately used with a centerfire rifle. Is he right or is he trying to screw me?

yes and no, mostly no,more problems than its worth
A friend of mine is using a DOA on a .30-06 with no problems at all but he is using the proper one for the .30-06 caliber
which is the DOA 600.

The DOA 250 is only reccomended for a muzzleloader.
I just checked the Bushnell site to look into it for you.

The following info on the DOA was cut and pasted from Bushnell's website.

"Whether you choose a rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader or crossbow to fill your tag,
there is a Dead On Accurate™ (DOA) reticle for you.

Its extended-yardage aiming points enable you to shoot with lethal precision out to
600 yards with a centerfire rifle (DOA 600),
250 yards with a muzzleloader (DOA 250),
200 yards with a shotgun (DOA 200)
or 50 yards with a crossbow (DOA X-Bow)."

Good Luck

I think we just had a good discussion on this same issue.
Hes screwing you. It is the doa 600 for centerfires! I guess u could use the main chrosshairs and set to one specific range but get he doa 600! :p
scope

I know they say its for a muzzleloader, but i put mine on my 270, and man it worked great. it stays zero at 100 yards just fine. i thought i would just try it until i can get a new one for the one that got broke. but think i will leave it on the 270. have taken shots out to 250 yards no problems. yet that is? lol.
Yes i agree with Stewart1516. With Bushnell DOA 250,muzzleloader rifles are used to increase your lethal range.
