I just purchased a Bushnell Banner 3-9X40 scope for my .30-06. I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this scope. The reviews on Cabela's site gave it 4.4 out of 5. It's extremely bright and clear. What do you guys think?

I think the Bushnel banner is probably one of the best scopes in it's price range as long as you're using it within it's capabilities, which means I don't think it would be a good choice in a place where you need to take a 400 yard shot there are far better scopes suited for extended range shooting but If you're using the Banner in ranges out to the 250 yard range you're all set.

Thank you BruceBruce1959. That's just what I needed to know. Where I do most of my hunting a 200 yards shot is extremely long. Also, my personal hunting ethics won't let me take a shot beyond 250 to 300 yards anyway.:yes:
