Buck grunt through garden hose...

I saw this tip and it kinda made sense. Use a section of garden hose long enough to reach the ground from your treestand so when you give a grunt or bleat call into the hose, the sound is not coming from your tree and give away your position. This sounds smart enough but I wonder if the call might get distorted too much. Any thoughts?

i would be curious as to how that would work out. me for one would not want to drag a garden hose into the woods to try it out though. i very rarely have every called to deer i can see. i call when nothing is in my site hoping to get their attention enough to come through my area. it seems to have worked fairly well for me. when i make sometype of noise to a buck running through my area my gun is already up and im just trying to get them to stop for a split second so i can pull the trigger.
