just wondering what kind of broadheads people use to shoot a hog. im kinda leary about using an expandable. they got tougher and thicker skin than a whitetail.

Buckfever, i'll let you use an old indian arrow head i found. you could tie it to a willow stick. the arrow head is made of black obsideon. you could give that a whirl.

as scrawny as i am i dont think i could get enough penatration on a set-up like that. ill take the arrow head though. :thumbup:

well my quiver is now full. ive got 3 arrows with muzzy 3 blade 100 gr. and 2 arrows with 100 gr. spitfires. im leaning toward the muzzys for my first shot and then after i see how they do ill decide whether or not i need to try the spitfires.

by the way thats not all the broadheads and arrows im taking with me. thats just the ones that are my first choice to carry in the woods.

my muzzy broadhead went all the way through the hog. it definitly would have done its job had i hit the hog right. one of my hunting partners on the trip had real good sucess with the montecs taking them down.

We were pork shopping at Superior game ranch, in the U.P. Great place and time. We did not use dogs, we stalked and did small drives.
