Hi,
I'm pretty new to bow hunting. I've been target shooting with my bow, but this is the first year I've taken it hunting. For what distances should the sight pins on my bow sight be set for (i have five pins)? What are the average distances that you shoot deer with a bow? Thanks for any help you have!

Well since you're new you probably wont want to shoot past 30 yards at a deer. I have 5 pins as well. Top one is set at 13 yards, second is 23 yards, third is 33 yards, fourth is 40 yards and fifth is 50 yards.

I have 3 pins on my sight, I have them set at 10, 20, and 30 yds. I would set the first pin at around 10 yds if I were you. WD is right, I wouldn't shoot much past 30 yds unless you are confident that you can make the shot.
