Glad to see another young hunter joining the ranks. I would suggest if possible find a mentor to help you out. Buying a used bow without experience can result in accident/injury. The same goes for used stands. If possible a new bow in the lower end cost line set correctly will bring you more enjoyment in the long run. It won't be long till you outgrow the first bow and will be ready to upgrade. Bow hunting is a great way to learn/experience nature up close and personal. My next love is flintlock hunting, swish/boom there's nothing like the smell of black powder smoke in the misty morning. Good luck on your hunting experiences, they'll last a lifetime. The one thing a gun offers a young hunter is the chance to learn the field care process at a faster rate. Most gun hunters seem to migrate to bow/muzzleloader hunting sometime in their hunting lifetime.
