What is the best load combo for a knight disc muzzleloader. I was thinking 150 powder 250 bullet.

It really depends on the gun what it will shoot accurately, first buy you several different bullets, if you got the money two or three powder types brands, then start shooting start with 90- 100 grains of powder an work your way up to 150 an see where your accuracy starts to fall off an then I would use 10grs. less than that an that should work well. Personally I use the 185gr. bullet in all my muzzle loaders you get more velocity an better trajectory an it holds alot of energy down range because of the higher velocity but thats just what I like an my guns shoot that load pretty good.
The disc I had did not shoot 150 grains very well.I shot 100 grains of 777 and a 250 grain mz expander, and it shot very well.I think 150 grains is not necessary unless you like getting kicked. My new knight is the kp1 and I shoot 2 pellets of shockeys gold and a knight 250 grain polymer tip bullet. It shoots it very well.
The best load is the one that works best for you and your rifle.
Maybe 150 grain of powder is too much, or maybe the 250 wt. gr. bullet is too light..
You'll have to visit the range and try a few different combinations to see which works best for you...

contact all your hunting buddies and see if they have different bullet weights they're willing to let you try out. Good Luck to you...
thanks everyone . I was just trying to gety a idea before I went and spend alot of money on trying alot of different set ups
