I would take any of my TC rifles over CVA products but that's just me :bag: My only CVA rifle is a flint mountain rifle (older model) that is no comparison to my (TC PA flintlock ) I'd look at those Traditions Vortex models before I'd purchase a higher end CVA rifles. CVA's may fit your budget needs right now, but sooner or later you're going to move up to TC quality. :pickle:

FG, you are incorrect on this one! You can pick up used CVA mountain rifles all day long for 250, the TC PA flints go for 350. If you'd like to send me 350.00 I'll send you a nice Flint CVA mountain rifle! You can go back in the ML past posts and even take a look at it. :photo:

FG seems like we debate quite a bit here, your slam was not appreciated nor accurate. Seems like we talk about most everything relating to ML rifles on this forum. Just to note: Nobody gives me anything not even TC, I just know a quality product when I see/use one. You not taking me up on my offer on the mountain rifle?? I'll even throw in a few flints, yellow, grey, sawed. It would be another CVA to add to your collection and I could add another??? Currently, I'm high bidder on that Traditions combo package. I put in my last bid today win, loose.

I think most of us are hunters first here and shoot to zero a gun in and then to make sure its ready for the next trip. Not too many are going to tinker with them day in and day out, with TC you don't have too. As far as someone making a living fixing things, I just had my 2010 Chevy back to the dealer to do some warranty work does that mean that Chevy trucks shouldn't be purchased. FG, it must be terrible always being an underdog supporter, the pressure has to be down right miserable. It's got to get to you at some point? Like when a outranked opponent steps into the ring against the undisputed champian and is going to get his butt kicked everytime, that's the take I get from all the CVA stuff. I also know that as a moderator I tend to push things a bit when I think something is factually untrue, but fair and balanced like Fox News I try to do my best. TC TC TC TC, Knight, Traditions, Lyman, .......CVA

Muley, me too. probably have owned more that a dozen or more ML'ers over the years and still have several in the vault, but I seem to pick up the TC ones the most. However, the one I (like) shooting the most is a 54 self built full stock flint Hawken. It's getting on the heavy side now for me but it will shoot well if I do my end of things. Flintlocks, shooting black powder now that's ML hunting!
