Turbohawk1, the best thing for you to do would be to throw both those silly choices out and get a Traditions Vortek and put an end to your worries because with the Vortek you're not only getting the best rated muzzleloader on the market right now but you'd be getting the most feature packed muzzleloader for your money.
BUT if you're determined to buy one of the lower rated options I would easily choose the TC over the CVA, If you monitor muzzleloader forums you'll always notice how many shooters are having to "tinker" with those cva brands vs. any of the other brands.
just do an internet search of "cva optima issues" and read the problems people are having with the optima, I hope you have a lot of reading time to spare.
