Saiga makes a 7.62x39 in semi-auto. Cost ~ $450. Inner workings are supposed to be direct replicas of AK-47, so that should say something for reliability. It's been highly recommended to replace my current "aging" varmint rifle -- M1 Carbine. M1 Carbine - .30 cal, 115 grain. Great out to ~ 100-150 yards. Made during WW2, it's still highly accurate out to those distances.
