For years ive shot GOLD TIP 55/75 Pro Hunters and have blown through the last 12 deer.Pro shop was out of them so i bought 6 Maxima's 350.They sure are a nice looking arrow.Finished arrow weight will be about the same as gold tips(379gr) so will see how they do in October.Anybody shooting these,hows there durability,i like there tolerances.

·always use radial carbons i hear gold tips are the tp of the heap but don't know from experience.

OK I know I just posted this a couple days ago but Finally got out & shot the bow this am shot surprisingly well for not picking up the bow in over a month
I have used the PSE's since I got back into bow hunting 4 years ago going to the range w/ the crew is getting very competitive I am looking for tighter groups & some more speed
Bow shop is having a store wide sale next Sat. the Mayhems are 75.50 reg price PSE's are under $40 these are 1/2 Doz are they really that much better & worth me spending the extra cash?
what would be a good arrow in between the two they also have Easton & Beman's bow shop said the beman hunter elite were a step above the PSE's & the mayhems about 4 or 5
Question for you guys that shoot good carbon arrows what do think I should look at?
would really like to stay in the $50 - $60 1/2 doz range unless you really think that a more expensive arrow would be better I do notice that the PSE's really fly weird but are 99% of the time in the kill zone not bullseye but a dead animal
sorry for being so long but want to make sure I am buying the right stuff the PSE's seemed to work well with my old bow but they fly totaly different w/ my new one
Beman hunters,gold tip xt,mayhems,maximas all of these should be in that range.You could probably get a dozen beman hunters for around 80$.They are a great arrow for the money.If your arrows are not flying true you could be underspined,making contact with the arrow rest,or your bow setup has a problem.Do some paper tuning to make sure the back end of your arrow is following the tip.This will tell you if your nock point or centershot is way off.Do not accept erratic arrow flight.

I don't shoot a lot of arrows/year so spending the extra doesn't hurt too much, however, the meyhems shoot the tightest groups I've ever shot. I like them. Are they worth the extra money, really don't know,

So I bought a half doz. Mayhems today on sale $67.50 I was not so sure I should spend it but very glad I did took me awhile to make up my mind till I thought about it I spent close to a grand for my bow why am I worrying about the price of arrows What a huge difference nice groups almost 3x the penetration & fly like an arrow should STRAIGHT.
it is a very long stretch but going to see if I can use works high speed camera to see what the flight difference is.
anyway for those who shoot the mayhems is this a fair price on these Reg. price $72.50

·thats great gf. it was so nice today i thought about dragging the target out and shooting the recurve but i hate losing arrows in the snow bank.

I shot my bow for the first time yesterday since bowhunting last fall. Still dead on at 23 yards. :thumbup:

Ronn I was nervous about shooting them too but had to try them buddy missed a couple times could not believe how far they will travel through the snow
HM glad to hear that is a good price may have to wait till the spring sale before I get over the sticker shock & buy 6 more good thing is I have lost maybe one or two arrows in the last two years don't alway's hit exactly were I want but when I do mess up it is usually still in the kill zone
If it wasn't for the New bow I would still be shooting PSE's I still can't get over how much more punch this bow has over my old one

I am shooting Gold Tip pro hunters right now, but I have used the maxima 350s. they are as tough of an arrow as you could hope for. I wont go into details on how the following occured. but I had a double richochet off of 2 vehicles at a range of 10 yds and the arrow survived to be shot multiple times after that. and I mean an extremely violent richochet.
