I have heard that there are a few places that hogs can be found in Vermont, anyone have any verification on that? There are some in New Hampshire too. I remember a newspaper article about the NH spots, but can't remember where it was.

I don't think there are any public areas holding hogs anywhere in Vermont.
There are a couple of private hunting preserves in Vt. and occassionally they will have one escape but they are usually found or killed off quickly, Thank God.

I think it was near the claremont NH area. It was an article in the Concord Monitor quite a few years back. I am from NH so I used to read that paper back then.
you are correct Highlander it is an expensive game preserve called Corbin Park will cost you from what I hear $100,000 a year & a long wait as there are only so many members.
my property all but abuts this park as BB stated they do get runaway's & there are some outside but far & few between
The park has stepped up in the past few years to prevent this & even went as far as putting up one way doggie doors to let them back in you It is legal to hunt them but you need to notify the park for permission to hunt them as even though they are outside the park they are still property of the park
tried hunting them last year but like I said there are not a lot out so
plan on it being a scouting trip & if you do get one it would be a bonus
