Sounds like some good varmit hunting. How big of a piece of ground are you hunting? They should be use to the farmer.
another weekend with nothing to show
Thanksgiving weekend and not one deer in sight in 3 days. The deer keep moving through the property at night. I really need to find some more land that borders the property that I now hunt, which would give me a better chance to get a deer. This season has been a real downer. Coyotes all around, bobcats sneaking around the pond, and the farmer pulling his bales of hay early in the morning. Hopefully next weekend will be better, rifle season opens on the 3rd of December.

The property is close to 200 acres, or that's my educated guess. The owner leases out the field to a farmer who uses the field for prairie hay. He will cut the hay and leave it baled until, he realizes that I'm out there hunting and then decides to come get a couple bales ever couple of days. I really can't ask the landowner to tell the guy to pull it all at once. The only thing good that all the feed fields are getting plowed under and the deer should start coming into my feeders now that the food has been plowed under. Wednesday opens rifle season, that should give me a better chace this weekend.
Keep after them, they are there somewhere. How long have you been hunting this property? I use to think activity by the farmers hurt the hunting but I don't anymore. Not here anyway. We have tons of agriculture and the deer don't seem to mind at all. It seems that when you make the descision to kill one they pick up on it....grins.

and do some late season deer scouting while your at it.after the seasons over who cares if you walk into his bedroom.follow all those trails to see where they go
