I took my nephews wolf out this after noon with the 3 basic bullets we shoot, and at 75 yards i was punching some really good groups with 100gr BH209 and the 300gr Powerbelt Platinums. Every darn 3rd shot would throw off target badly though!

After i got everything adjusted i figured, take it inside scrub her nice and clean and then this evening when the temp is a lot cooler, take a few shots and get all 3 into the hole.

So i go outside, set all my stuff up, new target, load the gun, sit down, look through the scope and the freakin cross hairs are pointed way high up in the scope!

This scope has always had a rattle to it in the rear section of the scope. Well what ever is back there, popped loose and now has to be returned for replacement to bushnell.

Just when you have something going good, it breaks! :crybaby:

scope rattle is not good. I've only had 1 scope failure in over 40 years and it was on the FireHawk. I can't complain too much as it was a cheap scope and I got around 8-9 years out of it. I put the same model scope back on it as the son took the gun (as if it was his) and figured if he gets another 8-10 years out of it then so be it he can buy the next one.

Found the problem. The lens it self is whats rattling around. If i push the glass forward just a bit, it goes back to normal.

This scope is on my nephews wolf and he got it july 3rd of 2010. Didnt even last a year, but in truth, i heard the rattling when we first got it, so it was broken when it was at the store.

I wanted to hit the range this weekend but we have nasty weather tonight and scheduled for sat & sun too. The scope that failed was a Tasco 3x9x40 world class and no warranty because it was purchased prior to their being sold.. However, at 60.00 I didn't get a whole lot of scope.
