good question
I know this fall we had a lot of those really small acorns that actually fell off prematurely. Some of the acorns stayed on and produced an average sized acorn. The previous spring was one of the wettest springs we have had in a while. I don't know if there is much connection with spring weather...I would think the weather closer to the time period when they are putting them on would have more of a chance to change the crop. In my humble opinion
