Deer Season is winding down in Arkansas and I have shot two doe. It isn't looking like I am going to get a shot at that monster buck so I am looking to put one more doe in the freezer.

Here situation. I have 5 doe frequenting my stand. 2 are 1/2 year olds, 3 are older. How do you pick the oldest. From 20 ft up I can't figure out which is the biggest. What other features do you look at.

There is not a lot of information on aging a doe a hoof

if its a cute bambish looking deer, in the face, its usually a young doe if it has a ugly long face its older. the older they get the more that cartoon face disappears.

I'm sure its not always the case but to me it seems like that the older deer have much darker fur. As for me , I would take the doe that gives a perfect shot opportunity.
