Marlin to Bring back the 444 Marlin!

Yippee! The Marlin 444 was one of those guns that I always wanted, but never achieved. It did stoke my interest in Marlin lever guns, which is why I own <snert!> a "couple". The passing of the 444 years ago was sad, and not a lot of folks have been happy with Remington's quality since they purchased and moved Marlin production. The stories on that are n-fold many, but it appears that Remington has Marlin quality coming back with new CNC machinery and modern production. So I'll be happy to see a new 444, and may have to put my name on one.

Can you reload 444 with 44mag dies??

The 444 is a longer 44 mag case, I always wondered if you needed new dies to load it. I think you may otherwise it wouldn't full size it.

Yea, the dies are different for the full-length resize, but I already have a set (was in a big box of "reloading junk" at a sale) and they're in great shape. Plus there was a box of factory ammo and a bunch of empty reloadable shells.

Used to own a Marlin 1894. What a great little rifle! I should wear out a set of kneecaps (or two or three) kicking myself for selling it!

Ya I sold a 444 years ago and now Ohio allows straight walled bullets. Could kick myself for selling many old rifles especially a 375 win, Rem 141, and the 444 marlin.
