Pricing my rifle

A short backstory...
I was in the US Navy for 14 years and my deployment/training schedule always interfered with any plans I had for hunting. After rejoining the civilian world, I won a rifle in a raffle. The rifle is a Ruger M77 MKII with a Remington 300 SAUM barrel. I bought a decent shoulder sling for it and a hard case. I put a Vortex Crossfire scope on it that is a 4-12x44. I changed the stock to a Featherweight Thumbhole Ruger 77 MKII Short Action Factory Barrel Channel with the Pepper Laminate Finish.

I love hunting with this rifle but I do get a lot of curious offers for it, and recently have been debating picking up a magazine fed Semi-auto .270 because it is lighter to carry in a drive and I won't suffer a huge power loss. I doubt very much that I will actually sell my 300, but I am looking for someone who can competently appraise it.

This is mostly out of sheer curiosity but I am also interested in knowing my weapon's worth.

There's nothing special about your rifle except for the chambering. Remington's SAUM calibers were very good, but disappeared when compared to volume of sales of Winchester's SA magnums. Many folks think the .300 SAUM was the best of the lot, but you don't seem them much anymore and the brass/components are scarce. I don't think I've seen factory ammo in awhile. That being said, there is a certain following that love the .300 SAUM.

Frankly, for the rifle-only, I'd guess you're looking in the $800-900 range. The scope is nothing earth-shattering but it is good glass.
