I have a Ruger American in 7MM-08 with a Redfield 3-9X50 scope mounted on it. Great shooting rifle!

Don't forget the, "But, it was a super deal" reason.

I'm getting ready to pick up a "new in box" Weatherby 7mm-08 for $400. A guy won it in a raffle & that's all he wants for it. I just can't pass it up!

I am surprised you didn't do the Old Break-In

I am surprised that you didn't to the old fire one clean, fire two clean, fire three clean, xxxx up to fire 10 then clean. I have done this on many of my rifles and I honestly can't tell if it made a difference. The rifles I did it to are very accurate. They probably would have been accurate even if I didn't do the break-In on the barrel. Like all of us, I am reading articles all the time and it is very hard to tell if following there advise does anything.
