Dirty Loaded Ammo Cleaning

Had this discussion with some shooters, and no one knew a definite answer. Can you, or should you (should you not) put loaded ammo into a vibratory case tumbler such as typical reloaders use to clean cases? They don't impact each other enough to set one off, but sometimes you receive or are given some dirty rifle cartridges from an estate sale or yard sale. Someone mentioned that the composition of the powder might be changed from the vibrations, from long grain into short grains powder from the constant vibration. Seems to me that any airline/truck shipping might do the same thing from road vibrations, and ammo makers would produce powders that were susceptible to composition "change".

Any thoughts with rational explanations?
