3212 Yes,They jump and get off typically.Also some sharks,catch and release.I fought a 130 lb tarpon to the boat at Sanibel Island several years ago.

3212 There are some tactics to learn to catch the keepers.But it's all part of the fun.Basically, I go at sunrise for Mackeral with shrimp under a float and shiny fast retrieve lures.Or at sunset until midnight for seatrout with shrimp or plastic grubs.Sometimes under the lights you have keep it away from the short trout to catch the occasional keeper.Also,the time of year is critical.The good fishing is March til June and again October til December.
