bidding

Tried to win an auction on a TC Cougar model with outstanding wood, however, I never did reach another bidder's top bid, it had to be really high. So, that one got away.

A shame. Was the price reasonable or are those prices going silly-crazy like so many other things?

I know that 22LR is starting to become available again, and I also know a LOT of folks are going to be stuck with those $99/brick-of-500 that everyone was hoarding in such a frenzy. I've seen other auctions for various non-collector firearms that have just gone silly as if someone thinks that one single item will be their retirement hedge fund. I have decided that I'll pay what something is worth "to me", not what's it's worth on some nebulous auction valuation system.
