First try Tn early Muzzleloader

It just so happens that Kentucky rifle and Tennessee early M/L seasons started on the same day this year, the 8th. I lucked out and got my Kentucky buck on opening morning (only allowed one buck total in Ky), so I went Monday morning to our Tennessee spot with M/L in hand. It was a very nice morning cold, frost and very light wind. In my stand at almost an hour before sunrise and saw my first deer, an 8 point a good 20 mins before sunrise.

I was tempted, but he was still a youngster, albeit one with a good bit of potential for next year (if he makes it!). I also saw another young 8 point chasing does and a total of 3 does before leaving after only a couple hours due to family commitments. An altogether enjoyable start to Tennessee tho and I hope to be out again in the morning if it's not raining too hard.

Best of luck to all!
