I didn't realize it, but it's been 5 years since I last posted here. I always like to post my success from here in NW PA and this year was very kind to me.
My dad shot at a doe at 7:15 and missed so I was already on the lookout for movement. I finally saw some about 20 minutes later and I shot at a decent size doe. At 7:39 I saw more movement and shot at another doe, dropping her. I eventually found that I hit the first one in the neck and she dropped immediately.
I'm shooting a 200 Stevens in .270 win and these were deer 9 and 10 with that rifle, 4 and 5 with my reloads. Of those 10 deer, 8 of them have all been shot before 10 am, 7 of them being before 8 am.
