Early Sunday morning i went to our place in South central OK. There had been about 2.5 inches of rain over the past two days. Planting oats deep in wet ground gets them off to a good start. Put some seed and fertilizer in the drill boxes and fired up the tractor. Over seeded about three acres of short grass and spring plots that died from lack of rain. The frost will kill the clay peas but the deer will have something green to eat for awhile.
Also disced in about an acre of oats plots that matured this year: Sometimes the oats sprout and grow well and sometimes it does not. The soil on that place is sandly loam and easy to work.
Looks like a Dandy
I wouldn't think you would have any trouble getting it into the ground
i wanted a Pasture Dream drill for many years but they are hard to find; the company in MS stopped making them at least 40 years ago. Finally found that one at a good price, its missing the cover. The thing is very heavy.
