Walleye

One of the guys at work went ice fishing out on Lake Erie yesterday. Their group ended up with 12 nice walleyes but had to drill through 3' of ice to hit water. Global warming..........

Perch are #1 but walleye are a close second.

Ice is off Lake Erie and spring walleye fishing is getting started. I hope to get the new boat in this weekend for a shakedown then do some serious walleye fishing in May and June.

Jigs rigged with softbaits is one of the best and efficient options for spring run river walleyes.
