Yesterday my son and I scouted new hunting property in NW Ohio. We saw about a dozen rubs on trees 8-12" in diameter plus fresh scrapes close by. In over 45 years of deer hunting these were the largest rubs I've ever encountered. Two trail cams are currently being used to see what's making the rubs. We'll set stands after the Pennsylvania bow hunt. Next time there I'll take some pictures and post them. Excited! Hopefully the PA hunt is successful as we saw lots of buck sign two weekends ago. Final note: as hunting season is cranking up, we need to think about safety in everything we do. Teach the kids that safety is their #1 lesson to learn, as they will carry it throughtout their lives in everything they do. Good luck to everyone hope you fill your tags. HM
