9 days to go for my NY trip & just can't find time to start getting stuff ready
Bow & pack are always ready to go but still have shopping to do dig though all my hunting stuff to decide what to bring & what to leave home & all I can think about is this trip
Oh & HM knife is by my side 24/7 so I know I wont forget that!
Days are dragging even though I am really busy worst part is I havent had time to hunt

I'm with you man, I feel your pain. But just remember I have an extra 4 hours of torture at least before I get to head out. Problem is that week will go by so fast.

Well NY hunting was a bust 1st time in 6 years we came home without Venison. Temps were in the 70's with temps not dropping much at night
the days it did cool down some we had swirling 20mph winds with up to 40 Mph gusts saw few deer but it was a great vacation. will post a few pics when I have the chance. NH Gun season starts tomorrow 1st legal deer that steps out will go in the freezer (Hopefully)

PA was a bust for three of us but three of our group shot trophy class bucks for our area and I will post pics later. My son shot the biggest 6pt ever taken by our camp, his best friend shot his first deer, a 10pt and another of our group shot a beautiful 8pt. We had warm weather, rain, high winds and we hunted hard. I saw a couple of legal bucks but couldn't connect. The weights of two of the bucks were also the heaviest bucks we've ever weighed. The ten point scaled 155# fielded dressed which is pretty good for a PA mountain buck. The 6pt went 145#. Normal weights run 120#.

the Rifle season began here Saturday, I haven't had time to get out myself yet but I've talked with a couple of friends who are at Camps,
both said there's not much movement in the woods and none of them have taken a Deer yet either...

I've been out several times here but no deer is still the tune that is playing. Snows are starting so things may change, but dunno if for the better or not.
