Sharing Your Corner Of The World!

One of the things I love about forum communities is getting to know people from all over the world.

Although I am not much of a city girl, I live just outside of San Antonio, Texas. No matter where I wander, my heart is here in Texas. When people visit, usually one of the first places they want to see is the San Antonio, Riverwalk. The areas right downtown are usually crowded with tourists visiting the many shops and restaurants. The areas further away from downtown can be pretty quiet and peaceful though.

We usually have brief winters and springs, with really long hot summers. My favorite places to run away from the world for a bit are up in the Texas Hill Country areas. When I can though, I like to escape down to North Padre Island. It is nice being just a few hours from the Gulf of Mexico.

Most of the time, I just like finding an old dirt road to explore.

I would love know more about your corner of this amazing planet!

What are some of your favorite things about where you live?

Where do you like to take people visiting from out of town?

Share some pictures of your corner of the world if you have some!

Well here in New Hampshire we have four seasons a lot of times we have all 4 in the same day. winters can be long & brutal but some years they can be short & pleasant. We used to be famous for the old man on the mountain but on May 3, 2003 he collapsed. Some say he partied to hard that night & fell off the mountain. Now the biggest attractions I would say would be the white mountains, our foliage & the Moose almost everyone from out of state asks if I have ever seen one. answer is all the time. I like nothing more (after my wife & kids) to be in the outdoors whether it be motorcycling / dirt biking in the summer, Hunting /Hiking in the fall to Ice fishing in the winter to open water fishing / canoeing in the spring. Even though I am not a NH native this is my home & not many places I would trade for it. I believe we have it all in NH the country, the city, Mountains, the ocean, NASCAR ect... I could go on forever

WOW! Absolutely stunning views!

I have been reading a lot about the Appalachian Trail recently and have been blown away by the views within New Hampshire. Simply beautiful...

Thanks for sharing. Love your pics. Not my personal ideal area for sure (too hot) but have visited in the past. I post a LOT of pictures online about life in Alaska mostly in this thread (Alaska Pictures random - Page 95) on the Marlin owner's Forum (that link starts at page 95). For even more fun, connect to the "Juneau Photo Group" online at FB.

I have a few online friends up in Alaska and the pictures they share always leave me breathless. I dream of visiting one day.

Everyone should, as it is not to be missed. And in a lot of places, it's not what you expect. But the photo groups make a great way to see and explore without the expense of the visit, or to at least hone down your choices.
